World Languages - Grades 9-12
World Language education prepares students to communicate in a language other than English and to become global citizens. World Language study improves cognitive abilities and positively influences achievement in other disciplines. (Stewart, 2005)
Program Description
St. Paul Public Schools 9-12 language courses include regular, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate instruction in:
Chinese
French
German
Hmong
Japanese
Dakota
Latin
Ojibwe
Russian
Spanish
K-12 Spanish Immersion
Junior High students that successfully completed both the Mid-Level 1 and Mid-Level 2 courses in one language are prepared to enter a high school Level 2 language course.
