Technology Education - Grades 9 - 12

Program Description

Technical Education Courses provide a rigorous context to prepare students to become technologically literate, develop into contributing and productive citizens as well as responsible decision-makers. Students acquire valuable career and technical skills to either directly enter a career or to continue their education at a technical college, community college or four-year college or university.
Courses are available in the areas of:

  • Production graphics
  • Networking
  • Computer repair
  • Automotive
  • Woodworking
  • Construction
  • Architectural drafting
  • Engineering drafting (Project Lead the Way)
The Saint Paul Public Schools has incorporated the Technology Content Standards to create local district standards for students completing courses in Technical Education. The standards present a vision for the future and provide a structure for identifying what learners should be able to do.
